So, I’m a firm believer that macaroni and cheese should never be diet food. The very thought of a low-cal/fat mac&cheese just pisses me off. First of all, this isn’t something you should be eating every day. This is holiday, or special occasion food. I’m sure there are plenty of you out there who enjoy eating low-fat version, and more power to you — but I’m not interested in it at all. Considering I only eat this kinda stuff MAYBE 3x a year at max, it’s totally worth it to me. With that said, this is a very decadent and “made with love” version of mac&cheese the CarnalDish way — can you say version 3? You get to caramelize your own shallots, roast your own garlic, and make your own breadcrumbs as well as make a deliciously cheesy mornay sauce. There are a lot of steps here, but they’re easy steps. Lots and lots of photos to help you nail this recipe, and believe me — when you nail it, you’re going to love it.

Signature Spaghetti and Meatballs
This recipe is very special to me. It’s something I’ve perfected over the past 7 years to my own personal liking, and whenever I serve it, I get a look that just oozes, “Oh, no you didn’t”. Why yes, yes I did. And you can too…
Sexy Sausage and Vegetable Pasta
Girl, where have you been? It’s been forever and a day! I’ve missed you, I’ve missed cooking, and I’ve missed blogging. Let me fill you in on life real quick…
Grown-Up Bacon Mac and Cheese
Holy balls. This is the perfect recipe for those of you who like to enjoy a big bowl of macaroni and cheese for dinner and absolutely nothing else. It’s beautifully flavored, creamy, cheesy, and with the smokey bite of crisp salty bacon on top?? Oh man, you guys are in for a treat — I’m not even kidding. It’s amazing.
Breakfast alla Carbonara
I am a lover of breakfast. I can’t help it. It’s the most versatile meal of the day. This plate of pure lust you’re about to encounter is a perfect “lazy Sunday” dish that you and a loved one can snuggle up and share in bed. I thought up this specific recipe in my head and quickly knew I had to execute. This stuff here is absolutely delicious. Everything comes together so perfectly — all of the flavors compliment each other s harmoniously. It’s incredibly simple to make but requires you be on your feet and alert all at the same time or you’ll end up with a disaster. I’m gonna show you how to prevent an “spaghetti alla scrambled eggs” and instead hook you up with creamy, more lush dish. Are you game?
Baked Macaroni & Cheese
*cracks knuckles* This may be the most requested recipe ever. I kinda get why…not too many people hate macaroni and cheese. If you do, you might be a weirdo.
Pasta with Mushrooms, Pancetta & Sage
You have to make this, I’m not even kidding. It’s so good I made it twice in a week lol…my friend couldn’t stop eating it. He was upset he forgot to take some home with him, but like I told him “These. Are. The breaks!” *shrug*
Lasagna Rolls
Who doesn’t love lasagna? If you don’t, I’m judging you! But seriously, this is a really great recipe for you lasagna lovers out there, who may want to put a different spin on it. This is a slightly dumbed-down version of my own lasagna recipe, converted into cute little rolls. I took out a lot of complicated steps and complex ingredients so that you first-time mini-chefs can do this without feeling like a total failure. I am giving you the basics here, so that you can customize to your liking. Be creative and make this recipe yours.
Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo…mmmmm
I’m a complete sucker for creamy pasta dishes. Don’t get me wrong…the red stuff is awesome too, but the creamy, buttery, fatty sauces? Sign me up, please! Pure comfort 😀 Here is a great basic alfredo recipe that is stupid easy and minimal on ingredients. The best part of this recipe is that you can make this in about a half hour, great for those short on time. You can add all sorts of vegetables, meats, or seafood to this dish and really make it your own. In other words, go nuts!
