As promised, here’s the second chocolate-for-breakfast variation…waffles! Waffles are heavenly creations, with pockets for butter…and syrup. YAAAAS!
Who says you can’t have chocolate for breakfast? Whoever said that, they lied. We’re adults, so we’re going to eat whatever the hell we want for breakfast..hmph! I’ve got 2 chocolatey breakfast treats for you — stay tuned for the very next post.
I’m officially out of blueberries. There isn’t a single blueberry in my house. They’re all dead. To celebrate their memory, I figured I’d give them a proper send off with this recipe. Dear blueberries, thank you for being in my life this past week…I hope I did you justice.
I don’t like blueberry muffins at all. Yes, you heard me right — I do not like blueberry muffins. In fact, I damn near despise them. They taste so…artificial and I find them to be rather headache inducing. However, these mothersmuckers right here?? Oh my God…I love these. I still won’t eat any one else’s blueberry muffin, but these are from the heavens above. If you like lemony blueberry muffins, you have to make these — I swear you will be pleased.
It’s finally snowing after weeks and weeks of insanely warm “winter” weather here in VA. Well, it’s not really “snowing” but there’s a light dusting of hazardous ice particles falling from the sky and barely sticking. It’s basically doing more than it has been all winter long…so far. Point is, it’s cold as hell outside but it’s kinda romantic — the perfect kind of day to stay in, snuggle up and eat a stack of delicious blueberry pancakes.
Put the kids to bed, this recipe and post is for the adults 😉
Happy New Year! I just got back from Houston yesterday, and I didn’t realize how much I missed my kitchen for the 2 days I was away. It was about the only thing I missed aside from my dog, I’ll admit. I had a blast in Houston kickin’ it with my homegirls who are all equally in love with Big K.R.I.T. We partied and rang in the new year with him and it was everything. But I came back, and after catching up on some sleep, I woke up needing to make a stack of buttery pancakes.
Rise and shine! If you put these on the plates of your loved ones, or yourself, you are going to want to hug yourself like Ray Charles. This recipe will give you fluffy yet rich pancake perfection, and with the addition of the fresh cranberries, dried cranberries, and orange zest…it takes an already super delicious pancake to astronomical levels. You’ve gotta make these.
Tyra mail! So I got an email from “JR” asking for a biscuit recipe. I figured I’d start with a pretty basic one…the buttermilk biscuit. There are about 3 or 4 different way’s I make my biscuits, and this is one of them. With all versions, I keep the same basic principles but I may use a different kind of fat and liquid each time. Anyway, here’s one version fo you.
The first bite sent me over the edge, and before I knew it I wolfed this baby down in less than five minutes with zero shame. These are incredible, and I’m not even kidding…
